Part 3
III. SAN BENITO COUNTY FAMILY SUPPORT
BACKGROUND
The Grand Jury reviewed the Family Support Division.
METHOD OF REVIEW
Interviewed the Administrator of the Family Support Division
OBSERVATIONS, FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
The Grand Jury interviewed the Family Support Division Administrator. This
division is currently in the process of being transferred from the County's
authority to the State of California authority. The exact date of the transfer has
not been determined. While it is felt that clients of this department will be only
slightly affected by the impact of the new system the exact results remain
unknown.
The exact budget of this department could not be discussed at the time of this
interview because that information was at the private residence of the
administrator rather than at the office as it should have been. Although we were
to be provided this information at a future date, this has not yet happened.
There are currently 24 full time employees. This department is not operating at
full staff at this time.
